This past week, UCR announced an Aug. 16 deadline for UC Riverside employees and students to upload vaccination records for fall 2021. The message was a follow-up to the UC system’s announcement of a SARS-CoV-2 Vaccination Program that would require vaccinations for employees and students to be on campus for fall 2021.

On Tuesday, UCR went into greater detail regarding the exemption process while reiterating the need for vaccinations. 

Faculty and staff members can submit their proof of vaccination or initiate a request for exception online. Those requests will be processed by a third-party vendor. Students can access the form online to initiate an exception or deferral request.

By Wednesday this week, almost 63% of UCR employees and almost 46% of students had uploaded verification of their vaccinations. That’s up from last week’s tally of 54% of employees and 39% of students.
