UC Riverside men's basketball earned numerous postseason awards following one of the most historic seasons in program history.
Mike Magpayo was named the Big West Coach of the Year, the first time in program history the award has gone to UC Riverside. Lachlan Olbrich was named Big West Freshman of the Year, while Jamal Hartwell was named the Big West Sixth Man of the Year.
Zyon Pullin was named a First-Team All-Big West selection, while Second Team honors went to Flynn Cameron.
Pullin, who joined UCR's 1,000-point club this season, ended the regular season ranked in the top six in Big West play in scoring and assists, while Olbrich was one of three players – and the only freshman – ranked in the top five in conference play in rebounding and field goal percentage.
Cameron led the Big West in three-point field goal percentage with a .417 clip, while also pacing the conference with 2.7 triples per contest.
UCR wrapped up a record-setting regular season with a 73-72 win at Cal Poly, finishing the season 21-11 – a record for wins since entering Division I. They finished Big West regularly season play with a 14-6 record, earning the No. 3 seed in the Big West tournament.
The Highlanders will face No. 6 seed UC Davis on Thursday, March 9 at 8:30 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the Big West tournament. Broadcast coverage is on ESPN+ and SiriusXM 381.
